Memory #19: The Plan, Step 1

Vel is talking with Jackie, Victory Anna and Princess. Vel is all 'now or never', before Sparkle Bright tells Marketing what they're up to. So, they are going to get an army.
She finds David about to go kick down the door of a seafood restaurant, and is all 'Look, we both know you're a hero at heart, let's go kick the Super Patriots' asses and show them that.' Also, she has a flying boat and the help of one of the founding members of The Super Patriots.
Vel (and the others) meet with a bunch of people -- other former Super Patriots, the Canadian heroes that Tag had hung out with, more C-listers that had never been worth the Super Patriots attention, and the younger Vegas supers. Others turned her down -- they weren't trained for combat or went unnoticed because their powers weren't that strong and picking fights with A-listers would get them killed.
Vel just got done meeting with a plant manipulator named 'Garden Show', who could only offer her best wishes, when she's confronted with a group of costumed heroes. She tenses for a fight... but the Southern Division of the Super Patriots want to join her side. And one was Claw's friend, Mississippi Queen (a water manipulator). Lake Pontchartrain, another water manipulator, notes that their contract allows them to betray management 'if we have reason to believe that they may have been compromised by a supervillain'. So that's five fully-trained, top-class superheroes Vel had not expected to have. Sweet.
So this fills in some information, as well as letting Joy know that, unless the Darkness grabbed her at exactly the wrong time, the problem was Dealt With.
Also she has an army. (Sadly, she does not have a Hulk, but neither does the other side.)
